School Programs The Shakespeare Project of Chicago shares
educators' concerns that too many of our students have not been
adequately reached, and are in serious jeopardy of falling through the
cracks of our taxed educational system. We also share experts' beliefs
that the arts can truly make a difference in the lives of these
children. While most schools can no longer afford to maintain the arts
in their everyday curriculum, it is possible to expose students to the
power of the arts through outreach programs like those offered by

Will,
My Name is Will is our own exiting dramatic adaptation of William Shakespeare s Sonnets and Songs. With an exhilarating original contemporary folk-music score, this play makes use of four actor-singers and has a running time of one hour. 90 Minute Othello This abridged version of Shakespeare's tragedy utilizes a full Equity cast, is performed as a Theatrical Reading, is followed by discussion and was originally commission by the English Department as Chicago's Lane Technical High School. Will and Testament, Will and Testament (a life after death comedy) An hilarious one-person show, created and performed by veteran Chicago actor and Shakespeare Project Artistic Assoiciate, Fredric Stone, puts the actor on stage performing for and with William Shakespeare himself. Commissioned Theatrical Reading If your curriculum includes, or you have a particular taste for a William Shakespeare play not offered in our regular season or among out School Programs, you may commission a Theatrical Reading to be peformed at your school or organization.
